PITTMAN POINT
We’re grateful for the opportunity to create a space where a wide range of voices can be heard and meaningful conversations can take place. More than anything, our goal is for each episode to offer something that stays with you beyond the moment, whether that’s a new perspective, a moment of reflection, or simply a better understanding of the world around you.

With that in mind, we hope you enjoy our Pittman Point segment. Each week, Attorney Pittman closes the show by sharing a thought meant to ground the conversation and give listeners something to carry with them into the week ahead. We invite you to explore some of our favorites below.
ARTEMIS II MISSION
April 2026
Today, as we’re recording this, all eyes are on the return of the Artemis II crew as they prepare for landing later today. It’s a powerful moment, not just for NASA, but for all of us watching what human determination and collaboration can achieve.

This mission carries four remarkable astronauts. Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency. Together, they represent not just one nation, but what’s possible when countries come together with a shared goal.

As they reenter Earth’s atmosphere, they’ll be traveling at speeds reaching nearly 25,000 miles per hour. It’s a reminder that even with all our advancements, there is still real risk involved in pushing the boundaries of exploration. That’s why today, we’re not only proud, we’re also praying for their safety and wishing them a smooth and successful landing.

But beyond the science and the technology, this mission is about something bigger. It’s about unity. It’s about trust. It’s about what happens when people from different backgrounds, different countries, and different perspectives come together and commit to something greater than themselves.

Because moments like this remind us that when we work together, when we believe in something bigger than our individual differences, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

So, today’s Pittman Point is this. Let this moment inspire you. Let it remind you that progress is possible, that collaboration matters, and that even the boldest goals are within reach when we move forward together.

We’re proud of this crew. We’re rooting for them. And we’re wishing them a safe landing later today.

HAPPY EASTER
April 2026
Happy Easter Sunday to everyone. For a lot of people, this day means spending time with family, sitting down for a meal, going to church, or simply enjoying a slower day than usual. It’s one of those holidays that naturally brings people together, whether it’s a big gathering or a smaller moment shared with close family.

However you choose to spend the day, Easter is one of those moments that allows you to slow down and reflect. People make the effort to see the ones they care about, and that alone makes the time meaningful. It’s not about the plans or the activity. It’s about being present with each other, having real conversations, and enjoying a moment that doesn’t feel rushed. That kind of time is what makes days like today meaningful.

Easter is also often seen as a time for new beginnings. For some, that connects to faith. For others, it’s simply a chance to reset and move forward with a fresh mindset as we head into a new season. Either way, it’s a reminder that there is always room to start again and approach things with a clearer perspective.

So, today’s Pittman Point is this. Take advantage of the time you have today. Be present with your family. Put the phones down for a bit. Enjoy the moment while it’s here. Holidays like Easter are a reminder to make the most of the time we’re given.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
February 2026
As we celebrate Black History Month, it’s important to remember that history isn’t only shaped by the most famous names we hear every year. It’s also built by innovators and changemakers whose work quietly transformed the world. Today, I want to highlight three Black Americans whose contributions shaped the freedoms we enjoy today.

First, let’s highlight Granville T. Woods, often called the “Black Edison.” He was the first African American mechanical and electrical engineer after the Civil War, and his inventions in electrical systems and railway communication made modern transportation safer and more efficient. His dozens of patents laid groundwork for technologies that still influence how we move and connect today.

I also want to recognize Claudette Colvin, who at just fifteen refused to give up her bus seat months before the more widely known protests of the Civil Rights Movement. Her courage and role in the legal fight against segregation helped dismantle unjust laws and expand freedom for millions.

Finally, Bayard Rustin was a brilliant organizer who helped plan the March on Washington and shaped the strategy of nonviolent protest. His leadership strengthened the Civil Rights Movement and demonstrated the power of coalition building in the pursuit of justice.

So, today’s Pittman Point is this: Black History Month isn’t just about reflection. It’s about action. Learn these stories. Share them with your families and communities. Celebrate the contributions that built our present and commit to carrying that legacy of innovation and courage forward.

REMEMBER THE COMMUNITY
June 2024
I want to wish everyone a happy Pride Month as we celebrate our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters across the country. Whether you identify within this group or not, the importance of making sure everyone in this nation feels safe and respected no matter who they love cannot be overstated.
For those that are unaware, Pride month was born from the ugliness that occurred when police raided the “Stonewall Inn,” a gay club in New York City. The police raided the Inn on June 28, 1969, and it led to people rioting, later referred to as the Stonewall Riots, and became the inflection point which started the Pride movement.
In a time of divisiveness across the World, I hope we use this month’s designation to build empathy for our neighbors who have had to live in fear of who they truly are or for how they’ve been treated. After all, this is a month to show that everyone should be free to be themselves.
To that point, I want to say that I appreciate people for speaking out on the importance of this month. Seeing celebrities like Marlon Wayans and Melissa McCarthy speaking out about and raising awareness for Pride month is important to show that you don’t have to identify as queer to be an ally.
So, for today’s Pittman Point, I simply want us to remember the golden rule, “treat others the way you want to be treated.” If someone identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, that doesn’t make them less human, nor does it make them wrong. Whether your lifestyle aligns with this movement or not, all that is asked of you is to carry on by treating yourself and everyone else with respect.
